    All You Who Thirst, Gather Here at the Waters (preview)

    February 1, 2016 by Carolyn Winfrey Gillette Leave a Comment

    All you who thirst, gather here at the waters;
    All needing food, come and buy bread and eat!
    Buy wine and milk, all God’s sons and God’s daughters:
    Come without money to God’s banquet feast!

    All you who put all your trust in possessions,
    All you who strive yet are left wanting more,
    All you who hope that in wealth you’ll find blessings–
    Feast on God’s love and you’ll never be poor!

    All you who find that your hearts still are restless,
    All you who long for what wealth cannot buy,
    All you who yearn for a peace that is endless:
    Come to God’s table and be satisfied.

    God’s feast is spread and the guests here are many.
    Christ is the host, as he shares wine and bread;
    Grace is abundant and mercy is plenty.
    God’s feast is love and the table is spread!

    Biblical Reference:  Isaiah 55:1-9
