First Presbyterian Church of Bryan, Texas, founded in 1867, is seeking a full-time head of staff/pastor. We are a university town located in a thriving twin city area with a unique blend of small-town charm and metropolitan vitality. We are seeking a pastor who: 1) delivers interesting, thought-provoking, and theologically sound sermons that engage the intellect and heart, 2) can shepherd the congregation with an uplifting spirit of hope and will work in partnership, and as an administrative leader, will work with the Session and staff to administer the church’s ministries, programs, and property, 3) will develop and diversify our faith-community, outreach, and ministry in the world around us, and 4) will leverage our abundant resources within and outside of the church to preach Christ, teach discipleship, and reach others. Our common goal will be building up an already strong ministry.
