Leading and preaching in the storm: (Re)locating ourselves faithfully amid trauma and chaos
We need to consider not only how we respond but how we locate ourselves as those called upon to speak and act faithfully, writes Kimberly Wagner.
Kimberly Wagner serves as the assistant professor of preaching at Princeton Theological Seminary. Wagner is ordained as a minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Her work currently focuses on preaching and ministry in the midst and wake of trauma, particularly thinking about collective trauma, the role of the preacher and the resources of Scripture and faith to allow us to respond to these moments.
We need to consider not only how we respond but how we locate ourselves as those called upon to speak and act faithfully, writes Kimberly Wagner.
