Diakonos Solutions Awards Four Women DMin Scholarships
Four scholarships were awarded to women pursuing Doctor of Ministry degrees at various institutions across the United States. Four $500 scholarships were awarded.
The scholarships were awarded to Bridget P. Robinson (Jakes Divinity School powered by Portland Seminary at George Fox University), Everlyn Banaag (Nazarene Theological Seminary), Stacey Gleddiesmith (Northern Seminary), and Tracey Henry (New Brunswick Theological Seminary).
Since its founding in January of 2021, Diakonos Solutions has awarded two rounds of scholarships, for a total of seven scholarships. Founder and Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Susan Rose said, “I know how important scholarships are for women pursuing advanced degrees. When I started Diakonos Solutions to mentor women in ministry leadership, I knew awarding scholarships would be a top priority.”
Women disproportionately serve in part time calls that do not offer money and time for continuing education. Diakonos Solutions is committed to providing Doctor of Ministry scholarships, helping ease the financial burden for women in ministry pursuing higher education.
One scholarship recipient said, “There are very few scholarships for those pursuing their Doctor of Ministry, much less for women who are in ministry, so this scholarship was an absolute blessing from God. It not only eased the financial burden of pursuing additional education, but it served as a reminder that there are people out there offering their support and encouragement.”
