At the Church in Siuslaw in Florence, Oregon, they help with an ecumenical project called “Food Backpack for Kids.” It includes plastic bags filled with nutritious prepackaged food that provides three ready-to- eat meals for Saturday and Sunday during the school year. Two school staff members advise the church on which children are in need.
