Outreach Foundation surpasses $100 million

The Outreach Foundation – a validated mission support group that’s in covenant partnership with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) – has reported passing $100 million in funds distributed to programs it supports.

The foundation, based in Franklin, Tenn., also has reached 35 years of service focusing on evangelistic mission – working with more than 130 missionaries, church partners and projects around the globe.

It took the foundation 27 years to raise its first $50 million, but only eight years for the next $50 million. In 2013, the foundation received gifts from more than 1,200 individuals, churches and organizations – with less than 12 percent going to administration and fundraising, the foundation states, and with donations being used to support projects around the world, including building relationships with Christians in China, supporting church leaders in Mozambique and working in evangelism and community development in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
