Jack Haberer, editor of the Presbyterian Outlook, has accepted a call to become the pastor of Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida.
On September 30, 2014, Jack Haberer will leave his post at the Outlook.
For the past nine years, Jack has guided our readers in navigating balanced news of the church, resources for ministry and sturdy, and commentaries on issues facing our common calling. He’s likely made you think and laugh, and probably has challenged you along the way.
As he prepares to return to the pulpit and pastoral ministry God has laid on his heart, we’d like to invite you, the reader, to offer your words of thanks and blessing. The Outlook team is preparing a scrapbook to present to Jack as a reminder of his service to the church during his years with the magazine. Please write a note to Jack expressing your appreciation for his contributions to the Outlook and the PC(USA), describing any memories that stand out to you of the ways he has touched your life and ministry, and wishing Jack and his wife Barbie well as he returns to parish ministry.
By September 11, please send your words for us to include.
