Hosts: Brittany Buongiorno and Chris Burton
Back in 2017, Brittany Buongiorno and I started CrossStreets. We were going to church in Crown Heights – in New York City – at the time and wanted to share stories of our neighbors with the world. Much has been written and heard about the neighborhoods we lived in – Crown Heights and Bedford-Stuyvesant – but we thought about telling the story through the lens of soul care. So we listened to our neighbors as they told us about their journeys. Some were lifelong Brooklynites, others moved there for ministry or through the Great Migration. Our first season had teenagers and elders; an intergenerational tapestry capturing oral histories in the borough of Brooklyn. Our second season found Brittany and me recording during quarantine and living on two different coasts.
Now in its third season, CrossStreets has interviewed entrepreneurs, authors and artists. It is a podcast that endeavors to showcase the good work each guest is doing, and each episode ends with a call to action. CrossStreets is an essential tool for any listener that desires inspiration and wants to be a fly on the wall during a good conversation.
