Forest Lake Presbyterian Church
One of the unfortunate realities of our American life today is that there are so many things dividing us. Many of us live in our own race, class and religious bubbles. Abraham’s Table is an antidote of fresh air to our siloed religious existence. In this podcast, a Presbyterian pastor, a Jewish rabbi and a Muslim imam join voices to explore how being children of Abraham unites us in many ways.
Launched in March 2022, podcast episodes explore why the hosts believe interfaith dialogue is essential today and what their religious traditions say about such timely topics as poverty, mental health and immigration. In other episodes, they discuss spiritual practices, what scriptures teach about God’s creation, good and evil, and human nature, sin and redemption.
Each episode is a lively conversation between friends who are religious leaders in one suburban neighborhood of Columbia, South Carolina. Their engaging dialogues challenge us to think more intentionally about how what unites us outweighs that which divides us in today’s culture.
