A memorial service is planned January 10 at 10 a.m., at Christ Presbyterian Church in Madison.
Hammond’s wife of 49 years, Shirley, preceded him in death in October 2007. Survivors include a son, Scott; and daughters, Leigh Carlson and Layne Champion.
Pete joined InterVarsity in 1966 as an area director for the southeastern U.S. Most recently he had led the Ministry in Daily Life Resource Group. He retired in August 2007. He was a longtime board member of Presbyterians for Renewal.
