According to the New York Times, a survey by Making Caring Common that was released in 2021 showed “We have big holes in our social fabric.” The study primarily measured the intensity of Americans’ loneliness epidemic, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Much can be argued about the reasons for this epidemic; this drawing away from each other. But much can be learned when we embrace being united and joined in the community of Christ. This issue of the Outlook considers the ways our diverse lives can look when we realize we are given to each other’s care as a family in Christ.
