Young Presbyterian women may be eligible for the National Network of Presbyterian College Women (NNPCW) Scholarship Fund program. The deadline for 2008 applications is April 11.
The NNPCW’s scholarship program helps equip young women to be leaders in both church and society. Three scholarships are offered this year: one $1,000 scholarship for an NNPCW member active in empowering women on her campus and two $1,500 scholarships for new immigrant women pursuing a college education.
Applicants for the NNPCW scholarship must: be a woman between the ages of 18 and 25; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; be a second-year undergraduate or above student at an accredited college or university in the United States; provide a transcript; be involved in a Christian church or campus ministry
Applicants for the new immigrants grants must: be a woman between the ages of 18 and 25; be a new immigrant to the United States (non-citizen of the United States living in the country less than 5 years); have applied and/or been accepted to an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (i.e. college, university and trade school); be a full-time student; be involved in and with the Christian church; preference will be given to those affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
