Presbyterian Men schedule national conference April 17-19 in Denver

LOUISVILLE — The annual conference of Presbyterian Men is all set for April 17-19 in Denver with the theme “Challenges Facing Men in the 21st Century.” It will include worship, workshops, fellowship, and a number of keynote speakers.

         They include Jerry Cannon, pastor of C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, N.C., and William Calhoun, pastor of Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Denver.

         Other speakers include Richard Maag, mission coordinator for disaster recovery in South Louisiana Presbytery; Amy Mendez, coordinator for Hispanic ministries for Denver Presbytery; Samuel Park, pastor of Denver’s Korean Presbyterian Church; and Ebenezer Yebuah, minister for education at Peoples Presbyterian Church in Denver.

         Practical workshops run the gamut from “Challenges in Fighting Racism” to “Challenges in Disaster Assistance” to “Challenges in Mentoring and Tutoring.”

         Participants will also have the opportunity to visit Newgenesis, a transitional community for Denver’s homeless sponsored by Central Presbyterian Church.
