Christopher Award for Ronald C. White

Ronald C. White, an author and scholar who has taught at Presbyterian seminaries, has been awarded a Christopher Award for his nonfiction book A. Lincoln: A Biography.

            The Christopher Awards recognize books, films, and television shows that demonstrate how one individual can make a difference. More than 500 books were nominated for this year’s awards; nine were selected and will be honored at a ceremony in New York on April 15.

            White graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a master’s of divinity degree and earned a doctorate in religion and history from Princeton University. He has taught at Princeton seminary and formerly served as dean and professor of American religious history at San Francisco Theological Seminary; he currently is a visiting professor at the University of California Los Angeles.
