I have a confession to make. About once a year, for about a week or so at a time, I consider becoming Catholic. Or Orthodox. Either one would be fine for my purposes. It’s not that I’m especially fond of miters, or icons. (I also don’t have anything against them.) It’s just that every so often I yearn to not have to make decisions like the one that was finalized this week, when amendment 10A passed the majority of the presbyteries and removed the barriers to the ordination of non-celibate gays and lesbians in the PC(USA).
