Powell will succeed David W. Jordan, who will retire this fall after 12 years of service.
Powell currently serves as pastor and head of staff at Forest Hills Church in Helotes, Texas. He earlier pursued a career in various management positions, including seven years as vice president for manufacturing with R. G. Barry Corp. in San Antonio. He also founded Powell & Associates in Boerne, Texas, advising communities on economic development issues.
Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly, which is affiliated with the Synod of the Sun, is located on 500 acres along the North Fork of the Guadalupe River.
