The Fellowship Community is getting new leadership. Paul Detterman, the organization’s national director, is leaving to accept a call as senior pastor and head of staff of First Presbyterian Church of River Forest, Illinois.
Nicole Lock, a teaching elder who had been vice president of the Community’s presiding board, was named interim executive director, effective June 1. She will serve in that role part-time, as she also is beginning a call as interim pastor of Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection in Conyers, Georgia, according to an email update The Fellowship Community sent to its supporters.
The Community also announced that it is postponing its national gathering, which had been scheduled for Sept. 6-8 in Pittsburgh. “We are in final negotiations on the date and site of the rescheduled gathering, but February 2017 is our target,” the message stated.
