Staff spotlight: Leslie Scanlon

Leslie Scanlon has been the Presbyterian Outlook’s national reporter since 2000. She has covered countless Presbyterian meetings, written a myriad of feature articles on a wide variety of topics and won many Associated Church Press awards in the process. Most recently, her series “On the border: Faith stories from the front lines of migration” was recognized for its excellence. Known for her intelligence, fairness, willingness to listen and collegiality, Leslie is an asset not only to the Outlook staff, but to the larger Presbyterian Church. Her writing is both informative and poetic and she has an uncanny ability to cut through the chaff and get to the wheat of any story. Prior to joining the Outlook, Leslie worked as a reporter and columnist for the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and earned a Master of Arts in Spirituality from Bellarmine University.

We are grateful to Leslie for her commitment, wisdom and gracious spirit.
