Back in the 1980s, one Presbyterian church in the South started taking in cans of soup on Super Bowl Sunday. The idea caught on and now many Presbyterian churches either take up cans of soup for their food pantry or take up an offering to buy soup or other food for those in need. It’s been an amazing success.
