What’s right about Northridge Presbyterian Church?

Northridge Presbyterian Church — Dallas

Northridge Presbyterian Church members and friends have “Packed the Pews” over the past 12 weeks! Collecting non-perishable food items and household essentials has been our way of sharing Christ’s love with our most vulnerable neighbors. While we have been unable to gather in the sanctuary, we have been able to gather in the spirit of mission with the Northridge Without Borders outreach. Through our partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), these items have been distributed to refugee families experiencing extreme stress during this challenging time. Large families packed in small apartments face difficult decisions about risky employment situations, budgeting and transportation. Adding to the stress is their unfamiliarity with language, cultural norms and avenues for assistance.

After Northridge “Packs the Pews” on Sunday afternoons, Isabella Chamberlain from the IRC distributes the goods the following week to Vickery Meadows residents through the IRC shed at the Five Points area of Vickery Meadows. Isabella reports that about 500 IRC clients have been given goods.
