What’s right about Unionville Presbyterian Church?

Unionville Presbyterian Church — Unionville, Pennsylvania

When COVID-19 closed the doors of the church building, we looked for ways to keep the congregation engaged with our community. (We have a long history of community involvement). So, we formed a Baking Ministry Team to bake goodies and deliver them to first responders and other essential employees during Pennsylvania’s quarantine orders.

What was supposed to be a one-time thing evolved into a weekly baking and delivery program. We now deliver homemade goodies to police departments, fire departments, nonprofits, schools and nursing homes — along with a note expressing our thanks and prayers for their safety. The bakers are so happy to have something to do and share, and everyone who gets the delicious goodies is grateful and happy to be thought about. We even have a couple of bakers who make gluten-free treats after finding out someone at one of the nonprofits has a gluten sensitivity!
