Pathways, a coalition of mainline Protestant church members, has installed a balloon in front of the PC(USA) headquarters. The group is specifically opposing an overture naming Israel an apartheid state that will be discussed by the International Engagement Committee today.

Update: Early in the afternoon on June 28, 2022, the International Engagement Committee voted 30-0 to approve INT-04: Jerusalem 3, 2, 1: Three Faiths, Two Peoples, and One Human Family—From the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy from Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy to approve a statement of concern regarding Israel/Palestine, which labels Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands “apartheid-like control” by the Israeli military.
