Washington, D.C.—October 29, 2025—In a time of deep societal division and growing polarization, The Telos Group is proud to announce the launch of Mosaic, a transformational two-year program designed to equip U.S. congregations and their leaders to become active peacemakers in their communities.
Rooted in Christian discipleship and supported by Lilly Endowment, Mosaic empowers churches to practically respond to Christ’s call to reconciliation at a time when many are feeling stuck by present divisions and escalating global crises.
Mosaic’s inaugural cohort includes 13 church leaders representing eight congregations across the U.S. and a variety of denominations. Mosaic participants are united in their commitment to understanding the roots of injustice in North America, learning the Principles and Practices of Peacemaking, and forming trusted partnerships with recognized leaders in the work of reconciliation. The program is shaped by Telos’ nearly two decades of global peacemaking experience, including immersive pilgrimages and a diverse network of scholar-practitioners.
“Jesus is outlining this interconnected way of formation that gives us the ability to grow into the kinds of people who are able to make peace in our complex world. We need this pathway now more than ever,” says Dr. Andrew DeCort, Mosaic faculty member and author of Reviving the Golden Rule (IVP Academic, 2025).
“Each aspect of the trips were so carefully considered and arranged and helped deepen my understanding of peacemaking itself, while exposing me to voices of faith and resilience that have made a profound difference in the way I view the world,” said Adam Bowles, pastor of Castle Church and a member of Telos’ 2024 Peacemaking for Pastors Cohort.
In its first year, Mosaic participants will engage in immersive learning experiences in the U.S. South and Ireland/Northern Ireland, participate in monthly virtual seminars with scholar-practitioners across a variety of disciplines, and build relationships with a supportive peer network of ministry leaders. In its second year, participating churches will receive direct support from Telos and select partners to launch contextualized peacemaking initiatives in their own communities. The next application window will open in spring 2026.
Participation in Mosaic is supported by a grant through Lilly Endowment’s Thriving Congregations Initiative. The total program cost for participation in Mosaic is $2,000 for one church leader or $3,000 for two leaders from the same congregation. This fee covers the full two-year program, with the majority of costs—including travel, accommodations, and immersive learning experiences—covered by grant funding.
