The Rev. Dr. James Calvin Davis is the author of The Character of a Nation: John Witherspoon and the Moral Foundation of the United States (Bloomsbury 2026). After 25 years of teaching ethics and religion at Middlebury College in Vermont, he now serves as the pastor of Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
