Rachel S. Baard is assistant professor of theology and ethics and is director of the Master of Arts in Public Theology Program at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. A South African by birth, she studied theology at the University of Stellenbosch and earned her Ph.D. in systematic theology at Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. Her 2019 book, Sexism and Sin-Talk: Feminist Conversations on the Human Condition, received the 2020 Andrew Murray / Desmond Tutu Book Prize in South Africa.
