Kent Annan is director of humanitarian and disaster leadership at Wheaton College in Illinois. He worked for two years in western Europe with refugees from Bosnia, Iran, Sierra Leone and many other countries. He later worked for six months with refugees in Albania and then in Kosovo. He is a senior consultant at Development Associates International, which trains Christian leaders around the world. He cofounded Haiti Partners, lived in Haiti for two and a half years, and spent 15 years working on education with churches in Haiti. Kent has an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary and is married to Shelly. They have a daughter, Simone, and son, Cormac. He is the author of several books including “Slow Kingdom Coming” and the forthcoming “You Welcomed Me: Loving Refugees and Immigrants Because God First Loved Us.”
