I think most of us are familiar with the idea that less is more. First Presbyterian Church of Holley has 50 members and plenty of pew space on Sunday mornings available for anyone interested. But the smaller we get, the more ready we are to listen and respond to the Holy Spirit
We’ve recently taken on a new mission project: building a school in Siviwás, Nicaragua, for 50 children — when most weeks we struggle to cover our church costs. To date, we have raised the first $5,000. We’re working on raising another $10,000 to complete the construction and outfit the school with desks, books and school supplies.
Here’s how we look at it: This is our calling even as the world responds to the COVID-19 pandemic.
