Presbyterian Pan American School announces new leadership

(Press release) The Presbyterian Pan American School in Kingsville, Texas, announces the election of the new collaborative leadership team of Dr. Gordon Allen Govens and the Rev. Ruth-Aimée Belonni-Rosario Govens.  Dr. Govens will serve as the tenth President and Rev. Belonni-Rosario Govens will serve as its first Executive Vice-President of the School, with service beginning on July 27.  Together they will share responsibility for the governance of Pan Am and ensure that it fulfills its mission to prepare its students to be leaders in their communities guided by Christian values.

Presbyterian Pan American School is a secondary school for national and international students and is related to the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Dr. Gordon Govens recently served as Assistant Professor of History at Kennesaw State University in Georgia where he was also the Director of Honors Cohort Programs and Special Initiatives. He graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Philosophy, earned a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, and a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology and Ph.D. in the History of Christianity (Reformation) from Princeton Theological Seminary. He grew up in North Philadelphia, is a movie fanatic, and enjoys playing golf and mentoring young adults to become leaders.

The Rev. Ruth-Aimée Belonni-Rosario Govens has served as Chief Enrollment Management Officer at Columbia Theological Seminary, as Dean of Admissions at Lancaster Theological Seminary and as Associate Director of Admissions at Princeton Theological Seminary. She graduated from the Universidad de Puerto Rico with a B.A. in Human Resources Management and from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She grew up in Puerto Rico and enjoys listening to people’s call narratives and vocational experiences, the beach, sports, and spending quality time with her family.
