What’s right with Pullman Presbyterian Church?

"Our congregation and community relationship ministry has a way of incorporating a lot of our other ministries to serve members, as well as the community; even in the middle of a pandemic, they haven’t missed a beat."

Pullman Presbyterian Church — Chicago, Illinois

Motivational Monday, Testimony Tuesday, Worship Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Faithful Friday, and Spirit-Filled Saturday leading us into to the Sunday Morning Worship Service.

This is the excitement I get to share every day of the week with my church family! We bring a lot to each other and believe that we have a lot to offer our neighbors in Chicago’s historic Pullman area. So we regularly walk the blocks. We set up prayer tables outside for those who need prayers or a listening ear. We talk to our neighbors, sharing our outreach ministries and inviting them to join us for Bible studies and worship. We respond by providing care packages for those that are in need, including everything from bus cards to holiday meal baskets for Thanksgiving and Advent.

Our congregation and community relationship ministry has a way of incorporating a lot of our other ministries to serve members, as well as the community; even in the middle of a pandemic, they haven’t missed a beat. Congregation members still receive check-in phone calls, birthday cards, inspiration books and drive-by waves and hellos. They also reach out to our youth with care packages for college students, and back-to-school items for elementary and high school-age kids.

Our Sunday bulletin includes these words from our mission statement: “We Read the Word of God! We Study the Word of God! We Live by the Word of God; and we are Blessed!” We live by these words and are eager to share them with our neighbors!
