I found the quote, "I don't want to fight the women's thing again," interesting to say the least.
“We are the Church of Jesus Christ. When the powers of the world decide that they will conduct business as usual, and that business is contrary to the teachings of Christ and the will of God for humanity, then it is time for the church to end its complicity in this sinful behavior. If we do not, then we remain unrepentant.”
In 2006 our Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) General Assembly took the following action in regard to the Israel-Palestine conflict: “The 217th General Assembly does not believe that the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) should tell a sovereign nation whether it can protect its borders or handle matters of national defense.” This resolution went on to point out
