Everything you need to prep for General Assembly in one place

“Report on World Missions”

60 Years Ago – April 19, 1954

“Missionary obligation is obligation in the world. [The Christian] does not stand over against the world in superior self-righteousness, but in
it, identifying himself with it in its disorder. … [The Christian] acknowledges his involvement in the world’s disorder. He identifies himself with mankind and mediates to others the life and freedom that have come to him through God’s grace in Jesus Christ. … Ours is a time that is related to God’s purpose and its fulfillment. … All the difficulties that we face, … all the weaknesses of the church…, do not discourage us. We preach not ourselves but Jesus Christ the Lord of life and death. We claim for him the kingdoms of the world. …Impelled by a sense of urgency, we welcome opportunities that God now provides to bear witness to a baffled and distraught world of the victory over the forces of evil and of the order that God ordained for his creation.” An excerpt from the “Report on World Missions” to the General Assembly.
