“God leads us in and through change. 175 years of The Presbyterian Outlook … . Yet in all the diversity and change through the years, God has held [the paper to its] mission: providing independent reporting of events, issues and people in the church, and challenging Presbyterians to intelligent response. It has been likewise with our Presbyterian Church itself, through more than 200 years of mission on this continent. Revival movements and anti-revival resistance; factions and splits, and reunion again and again; theological revision, with times of tightening our confessions and times of softening. Again, through all the change, God has led us, enabling us to remain true to our biblical and Reformed foundations while moving us into new times and new understandings. … God calls us to be alert to new things happening and so to new ways of talking about and interpreting God’s action. We can trust God to lead us, just as God has done in the past … .” From a guest editorial, “Reformanda” by Isabel W. Rogers.
