On this #GivingTuesday, please consider making a financial gift to the Presbyterian Outlook. Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations and activities that bring about real change in communities.
It has been a busy year at the Outlook. We went to Portland, Oregon, to cover the 222nd General Assembly and provided bulletin inserts in English, Spanish and Korean to help congregations understand and discuss the actions taken there. We also brought you stories from the NEXT Church conference, Association of Presbyterian Church Educators’ annual event and the Montreat DisGrace Conference – just to name a few. Our award-winning national reporter, Leslie Scanlon, kept on top of the actions of the Presbyterian Mission Agency board and is preparing to attend the first meeting of The Way Forward Committee in December. We brought you blogs from young Presbyterian leaders, articles on topics ranging from how Presbyterians are responding to the global refugee crisis to Reformed theology and why it matters, thoughtful commentaries on current issues and weekly reflections on the lectionary for preaching and Bible study.
We have exciting improvements coming in 2017 and we are making plans to celebrate our 200th anniversary in 2019. The harvest is plentiful, but we need your help to bring it in. A gift of any amount will help us keep covering the PC(USA), resourcing church leaders, and facilitating faithful conversations across the denomination. Or, consider giving $52 – just a dollar a week will help immensely.
Click here to give now, and then use the hashtag #GivingTuesday to tell why you support the Outlook.
Thank you!
Grace and peace,
Jill
