The Presbyterian Outlook relies on a small, dedicated and gifted staff. If you have ever called the office in need of help with a subscription or to place a classified ad or for a question about a past article or issue, you likely have spoken with George Whipple. Calm, kind and patient, George greets each person warmly and helps resolve whatever problem or question they present. You may well have met George at the Outlook booth in the exhibit hall at one of the many General Assemblies where George has greeted countless Presbyterians. For many, George is the Outlook! If you happen to come by the Richmond office on a Tuesday you can say hello to George’s sweet rescued cocker spaniel, Kafu.
In addition to the many hats George wears at the Presbyterian Outlook, he has pastored Hawkins Presbyterian Church in Ford, Virginia, for just over 20 years. We are grateful for George’s 28 years of service to the Outlook, for his unwavering willingness to go the extra mile, his grace under pressure and his collegiality. Thank you, George!
