We believe that people are better emotionally, spiritually and physically when they are gathered into loving and nurturing communities. When the pandemic prevented guests from gathering here, we received an outpouring of love from our community. Clearly, our survival was critical to them.
Like many organizations, in 2020 Menucha sought creative ways to fulfill our mission. We focused on personal retreats and brought our canceled in-person programs back to life as online programs. New “Lunch and Learn” classes on Zoom generated income for hard-hit musicians and brought us participants we otherwise would never have met (some from as far away as Australia).
Now we’re excited to host small summer events: adult art camps, church retreats and family reunions. Come winter, we’ll return to some Zoom programming because the pandemic showed us when traveling here is tough, people will still reap benefits from being part of our loving community online.
