Meet Marian McClure Taylor and Danny Morales: #GA226 co-moderator candidates

Get to know two of the candidates standing for co-moderator, Marian McClure Taylor and Danny Morales, in an Outlook-exclusive video.

Last October, Rev. Dr. Marian McClure Taylor announced her intention to stand for moderator of the 226th General Assembly — hopefully with a partner. Taylor served as director of the Worldwide Ministries Division of the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) from 1997 to 2006 and recently retired from her work as pastor of the South Frankfort Presbyterian Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Taylor found a co-moderator partner in Rev. Danny Morales, who announced his intention to stand alongside Taylor in April. Morales is a hospice chaplain and the pastor of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Liberty City, Florida.

The Presbyterian Outlook contacted the team to see if they would introduce themselves to our followers and subscribers in a brief video.

We’ve been working hard to report on all the news coming to this summer’s General Assembly, including those standing for co-moderator. We will host a debate between candidates on June 6 where we ask in-depth questions. This video is just a brief introduction. Enjoy!
