Indianapolis (PNS) On July 1, the Big Tent opened its flaps to a wide range of conversations, including a discussion of evangelism and church growth in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Indianapolis (PNS) The second Big Tent event ― with more than 1,700 Presbyterians in attendance ― kicked off this afternoon (June 30) with a stirring worship service. The event continues through July 2.
Landon Whitsitt, who is vice-moderator of the 219th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a pastor from Missouri, has been elected as the new executive and stated clerk of the Synod of Mid-America.

A former president of Columbia Theological Seminary, C. Benton Kline Jr., died on June 20 following a brief illness.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (PNS) The Rev. Adel Malek didn’t necessarily intend to
become a Presbyterian minister. An engineer by profession, he and his
wife moved from Egypt to the United States in the late 1980s. Malek
worked as an engineer until he retired last December.
