Margaret Flory, 95, died Oct. 1

Margaret Flory, often called one of Presbyterians’ foremost mission and ecumenical leaders, has died at age 95. Arrangements for a memorial service are incomplete.

            She served for 36 years on the staff of the United Presbyterian Church in New York City, and was instrumental in the founding or development of such programs as Frontier Internship in Mission, Junior Year Abroad, Frontiers in Mission, and Bi-national Servants. She retired in 1980.

            In more recent years, she had made her home in Brevard, N.C.
