First Presbyterian Church of Champaign is seeking a pastor, head of staff. We are a 175-year-old congregation located in downtown Champaign, serving the community of the University of Illinois and the surrounding area. We are traditional in our worship style, while embracing a welcoming spirit and a commitment to engaging God’s diverse world. As a Matthew 25 and Earth Care congregation, we value racial diversity, inclusion, justice, and faithful stewardship of creation.
We seek a pastor called by God to serve as a visionary, transformational leader and head of staff who can guide us in discerning new opportunities for ministry and mission in the years ahead. Candidates should have experience, strong organizational skills, social awareness, and listening abilities to help our congregation of 325 members build on its rich history while leading us through a changing and increasingly diverse cultural landscape.
